So the good guy won, in my not so humble, and rather outspoken opinion; the corprate ass hat lost-that one's not so arguable, and we're left with democrats in control of the Oval office and the senate, not so bad, right? ..What do you mean wrong? What are you-you're seceding from the country!? MICHIGAN TOO!? I LIVE IN MICHIGAN! I already have problems with the US Currency don't make me get used to a new one! The only currency I'd like to learn to use in America is the Euro and that's cause it's far more valuable then the US dollar, but I digress.
What the sweet, buttery, shit frosted fuck is causing another civil war and why do I feel that it's coinciding with the Mayan Apocalypse? Well it could be either that the Mayans had a Piece of Eden or other mystical, video game related object that showed them the future, incredible luck, or circumstance. Regardless of the answer to my question I have to ask what caused it all.
What I hear most of the time is that people of various states are putting forth petitions on the We The People petitioning page of the White House website to have their state secede from the fifty states because Obama got re-elected. This makes me think of one of my Social Studies teachers who my science teacher affectionately called Guy Down The Hall. You see, Guy Down The Hall said that he could guarantee Obama was going to win because with how horrible the Republicans were doing if the Democrats were to have a german shepard go as their candidate they'd win, just cause people are sick of Republicans. The same thing is happening now, and he's only been in office for FOUR YEARS! They gave the republicans eight years to fuck it all up, but Obama only gets four years to fix it? Go to hell in ways and languages that I haven't even heard of.
Mitt Romney was going to give our economy a loaded gun and make it play russian roulette. He was going to bet the farm-and not even his own farm, he was going to bet money we didn't have to bet in the hopes that the economy would get better, and if that backfired where would his "strong middle class" be then? Running to Canada! That's what I'd be doing! "Sweet Jesus and dalmation puppies! Save us with your maple syrup and socialized health care!"
Which leads me to the title of this rant: Politics, Gambling, and Other Vices. The US populace would rather gamble our entire economy on a quick fix then actually WAIT for a good balanced plan from Obama to take it's full effect. In the nation where you can get your pizza made and delivered in half an hour to forty-five minutes and a Whopper Jr. meal in under ten minutes, waiting another few years for some more improvment in the economy is too much to ask. We'd rather bet the farm and let the chips fall where they may. Then bitch about it if it goes wrong, like true, red blooded Americans.
Maybe I'm just an idiot for voting for the guy with a thorough, well thought out plan, but c'mon, really? We call ourselves the greatest nation "God's Chosen Country" but we're so stupid we'd rather gamble everything on one guys half assed plan.
All I can think is that these people who fancy themselves revolutionaries, as if they're following in the footsteps of the founding fathers, by trying to sucede, are idiots. If they really were trying to follow in the footsteps of the the founding fathers they'd have fought with this same fire during Bush's presidency. Hey the Repbulicans are the reds, like the Brits and the Democrats are the blues, see the symbolism?
